New Spawn & Other Changes

New Spawn:

The spawn is now open and fully functional! There are a lot of changes so I won't list them all here, it's better if you just explore for yourself!

The biggest change is the player mall which is now a hybrid of the two mall systems that came before it, check it out and follow the instructions at the end of the mall to rent a stall or shop!

Donator/VIP Benefits:

Players of Donator & VIP rank no longer have to pay for nickname changes!

Buyable Commands:

Two new buyable commands have been added:

/enchant - Allows you to enchant using a simple command, see the Admin Shop for details.
/fireball  - Shoot fireballs like a ghast! (works fine with no-PVP areas).

The pages of this site have already been updated to reflect these changes.

New versions of the Helper & Moderator Handbooks are now available for download!

The server is down for maintenance as follows:

1. Full backup/clone - Done.
2. Switch spawn location - Done.
3. Make several config changes - Done.
4. Test spawn / config changes - Done.
5. Clear out old data / backups - Done.
6. Upgrade OnTime plugin - Done.
7. Test upgraded plugin - Done.
8. Partial backup (changes only) - Done.

The Casino has now been closed until after the spawn switch!

If you're wondering why we decided to do this 2 days before the switch it's because the slots are getting a major overhaul which will involve changing over 400 lines of config, for a little more detail on what's changing please see this post...

Server Down / Whitelisted

We were getting some odd error messages in the console and are looking into it, I'll update here as soon as we know more.

Update 16:15 - The server is now back up and the whitelist has been removed!

It appears that the issue was to do with the BuyRegion plugin which we had been experiencing minor issues with for a while, thankfully this was due to be removed in 3 days anyway when we launch the new spawn so I've just removed it now instead.

Players who still have shops will remain able to modify their shops contents until 1 week after the switch as originally planned, rents will obviously not renew or expire now until the regions are manually removed on 12th June or your shop is cleared for you.

One unfortunate side effect is that the errors caused some corruption in a couple of other plugins data, we have lost roughly 7 days of CoreProtect data as the database had to be restored from backup and some Essentials data (economy balance and nicknames) may have reset, we cannot be 100% sure at this time but we believe this will affect no more than 10 players out of 700+ so thankfully it was fairly minor.

I will be checking the logs and data over the next couple of hours and compensating any players I can confirm were affected!

Update 17:35: The essentials data loss only affected 8 players in the end, all of which have been successfully restored!
