Network Lag

We are currently experiencing some network lag, this is only affecting players in certain countries but unfortunately I can't be more specific, although Europe seems worst affected, hopefully our hosting company will resolve this very soon!

I'll update here once I know more.

Update 17:40: Looks like the network lag was an unexpected side effect of a network change by our hosting company, they seem to have fixed it now!

Money Spreader

The maintenance now keeps track of the balances of players who's data is reset due to either not logging in for 60 days or more or being banned. Every so often (weekly for now) this total will be split equally between all players to help balance the economy, you will receive your share whether you are logged in or not!

For example:

Player 1 has a balance of $110,000 and gets banned.

Player 2 has a balance of $200,000 but has not logged in for 61 days.

Player 3 has a balance of  $90,000 but has not logged in for 61 days.

When the maintenance runs, the player data is removed and the total of $400,000 is logged.

At the end of the week the total number of players listed by /baltop is checked and found to be 1000, the $400,000 is divided by the number of players ($400,000 / 1000)  and then $400 is paid to every player, even if not logged in.

Hopefully that makes sense to everyone, the first payout was today and was $310!

Update: I had a short power cut whilst running the backup so it's going to take a little longer, I've added 15 minutes to the estimated finish time.

'Rules' Updated & Item Limits

The /rules command has been updated to include the list of item limits, which has also been changed slightly to simplify it and make it more flexible:

Timers / sequencers - limits combined, 12 per region total.
Energy Collectors / Relay - limits combined, 80 per region total.
Condenser / Crystal Chest - limits combined, 24 per region total.
MFE / MFSU - limits combined, 24 per region total.

Basically items that are similar and potentially cause similar amounts of lag have been paired up, so for example if aren't using any sequencers you can use the whole allowance of 12 for timers!

OnTime Rewards

A 100 days reward has been added to OnTime, so the rewards, not including Member promotion, is now:

Every Hour: 1 x Apple + 1 x Industrial Diamond

30 Unique Days: 16 x Industrial Diamond

60 Unique Days: 32 x Industrial Diamond

100 Unique Days: 64 x Industrial Diamond

If you reached 100 days before the rewards was added then open a  modreq and Tatankore will manually schedule the reward for you, enjoy!

Server stuck on 10 players maximum

The management interface update this morning has resulted in a weird bug which since the last restart won't let the maximum number of players go above 10, FragNet are looking into this now, which is likely to involve at least one restart, possibly without much notice.

I'll update here once it's fixed!

Update 18:45: It's due to something odd going on with the McMyAdmin license, for some reason it keeps reverting to 'Personal Edition' which is limited to 10 players, also, sorry about the broadcast every 5 minutes!

Update 20:20: Server Down - Fragnet are going to back up the server, reinstall McMyAdmin, and then restore everything, the server shouldn't be down for more than an hour or so.

Update 22:45: We had some issues with player data but this has now been resolved and the server is back up!
